Rubyanne is my African Grey who is 4 months old and has only been part of my family for 4 nights now. I took my boy from a petshop about 2 months ago , he is about 3 years old , he is eating very well , he is acting very normal , but he is carrying a hole on his peak , this hole never enlarged or no becoming irritated or ozzy , an avian vet here told me that it will heal when the beak grows , he says no problem , but i am not thrusting his knowledge much , did you...

Here is Sonny a 6 month old Maroon Bellied conure, he/she seems to be settling in well I have only taken one good nip, and is fairly good on the hand, and 9 times out of 10 goes back into his/her cage very well!

I just purchased yet another book on parrots in general and there is a section on building your own perch. Has anyone here ever done this?
It seems really simple. Find a nice sturdy branch that has some nice size perching branches shooting off. Fill a large flower pot with quick set cement and stick the branch inside...and voila! Let it set up and then you have a brand new and much much cheaper than buying a 'play center' perch and climbing area!
This sounds simple but am I missing something?...
