So we just got home from Vinnie's vet appointment. They told me they met Vinnie's parents! A man here in NYC purchased all 12 of the breeding vasas from Featherlust Farm and is opening his own shop soon : UptownBirds.com
How cool is that? To think I can get on the subway and go meet Vinnie's family in person *AND NOW* They all share the same vet. I think that's pretty neat.
I emailed Timothee Graze who owns Featherlust Farms in Old Saybrook,Ct about her retiring. And she actually got a big laugh out of it.She stated that it is nothing more than a rumor. She also said that she isn't ready to retire.
Not that it matters, but she must have changed her mind, or isnt saying so. One of her employees told me on the phone she was retiring. She's selling her birds and getting out of it. And from what Maybe Molly says, looks to be pretty true. Why would she admit she's retiring? It's nobodys business but hers. I am sure one of her employees just slipped up.
Besides that, Molly, that rules. Thats why I couldnt get on her list, They told me they were selling the Vasas, no more babies. But thats also why I got on a 'better' list.....
ha! a family photo.....not many parrots have their own bird/family photo..........and this is a pic of when uncle bob stole aunt petunia's favorite chew toy.....oh and here's little vinnie just out of the egg....
