Business as usual with Anka. I give her snap peas and almonds when she stays put on her tree perch instead of on top of her cage. She gets the peas sometimes for meals but I save the almonds for treats. Consequently, she's hanging out on the tree more (which I have right beside my computer), and is flying to it more frequently. The cage top, however, is still her favorite spot. That's the only place she will let me scratch her.

Still taking it slow, but I don't want to stagnate in this step because I'm not working towards more. Will keep you guys posted!

Great! Glad things are going well. Maybe girls are just a bit more stubburn than boys! (not normally the case, of course.)

Anka, after a week of being very anti-social, sat on my hand and got a neck and beak rub for a good half an hour last night! First time she's wanted me to touch her while sitting with me.

Her eye rings turned pink from yellow and she curled her chin around my fingers. I rubbed her head, nose and cheeks with my thumb. And of course she whined when I quit! LOL
