Try cutting the fruit and vegetables in smaller pieces and continue to offer it to your Cockatiel and eventually it will eat them.Try offering it to her/him before offering any other food when it is the hungriest.Leave it for sometime then remove and offer other food.Soon it will get used to the fruits and vegetable as part of it's diet.Good luck I hope this helps.

well i will defintely try the sprouts, and i have another question, since i dont have so much time to play with him should i buy another cockatiel ?
will they get along?my cockatiel is trained he knows few things and my concern is that if i get another cockatiel he will not be able to do his tricks again.

Getting another Cockatiel does guarantee that they will bond and they may bond to one another and you may have one protective of the other unless you kept them in a seperate cage. But make sure you quarantine them in seperate rooms for 30 days.I wish you luck with whatever you.
