My birdies have a bean veggie mix in the morning along with tiny amount of seed/pellot mixure and nuts.

Mixture.
Beans/legumes, jalapeno, squash, rice, oatgroats, flaxseed, barley
This is a mixture I cook up every 2 weeks and freeze it. I always make different mixes, sometimes I add pasta or I change the veggies around.

Also A few times a week they get birdie bread with their bean veggie mix.
Sometimes the kids sneak in a piece of bagel with cream cheese on it for the birds

My birds eat three times a day and have snacks so what they don't get for breakfast I can make up for lunch or dinner.
