Our Chihuahuas
We are currently owned by 6 Chihuahuas. There is Bambi who was a rehome and joined us this January after the owners purchased her around Xmas time. She is only 1 years old and we were told that she already had puppies which isn't good for smaller bred dogs. Then there is Chance he is also
1 years old he's the offspring of Honey and Tiny.JD aka Jack Daniels was a gift from me to my husband 2 years ago he wanted a Jack Russell Terrier but with having so many parrots I didn't think it was the best thing to do.So I found someone with Chihuahua puppies that had the coloration as Jack Russell
Terriers. My husband was so happy I thought he would cry.Of course JD is his favorite. Then there is Honey she was a rescue that jumped into my landlord's son truck on a wet cold night. He gave her to someone and that didn't last long she had a lot of problems. She suffered from separation anxiety, with lots of aggression towards people, children, fear of cars and many other fears.I believe she was thrown from a vehicle. She's believed to be 5 years old.She has changed a lot but we still deal with some of her issues. Then there is Tiny he came to me from my bestfriend and is 5 years old.We picked him out the day Rocky one of Chihuahua's that was living with my friend passed away. They look and act so much alike. It just so happened I named Tiny and the name fits he used to be 4 lbs but time and food changed that he is now 6 lbs.And the number #1 Chihuahua is Baby she is now 15 years old and has been with me since she was 10 1/2 weeks old purchased Mother's Day 15 years ago.She has been through a lot seen so much. All her Chihuahua friends that she knew and loved have Crossed Over The Rainbow. Her 1st born son Shadow who is 13 years old lives with my bestfriend and knows he is loved by us both.Less than 1 year ago Baby was diagnosed with Canine Cushing's Disease the medication can be harsh on her.The testing is very hard on her and after the last testing was done it was determined that there will be no more testing done. Her Vet said considering her age and all that it was just
too much to put a dog that was 15 years old through. So we watch and wait for any complications. She has had a good life and we don't want to do anything to ad to her ongoing problems. She suffers from arthritus but that's to be expected at her age.Her vet couldn't believe she was 15 they had her down as 12 or 13 but he did say that she was doing well for her age.I love all my Chihuahuas and don't want see any of them go.
