Default My cat taking her meds.

My cat was recently put on medication for hyper thyroid. At first it was difficult to force her to take it. We ended up getting a spoon to allow her to use and mix the pill with some milk after crushing it. Here is the result. A happy, healthy cat that is eager to take her meds. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...MVC-020F-6.jpg

It is hard to believe that she will be 17 years old in April.

I'm glad to hear that your cat is doing well, and she's looking great.

One of our cats is 16 and has to eat specific food for his kidney disease, but he's doing pretty well now, too.

Please excuse me for following my own post, but in case anyone's not having luck with their pets taking their meds, they may like to try "pill pockets" if they haven't yet.

We used them briefly for one of our cats when he needed medication for a week or two. You put the pill in the "pocket" and when it works, the pet eats the whole thing including the pill.

After a while, some pets catch on to the trick of course, so you have to watch and make sure they get their meds.
