Default Galah...

Does anyone here have a Galah?
I know they are considered pest birds in some parts of Australia.
But I really do like these little guys.
I'm just wondering if someone can tell me more about them.

Default Hi, Meet Pepper

We have a beautiful Rosebreasted Cockatoo, she is very smart, loving and is a hoot to watch. We have 4 Cockatoos, 2 Umbrellas and a Goffin. I Love them all- as well as 5 Macaws and a CAG.

Default Re: Galah...

Being Australian I have seen many MANY galah's and have always loved them (as with all Cockies). They sort of are considered a pest as they feed on the grain that falls from trucks which then ferments and they get drunk! You can drive past and there be flocks of drunk Galah's flying crazily all over the place! I worry so much that I might hit one of them! So we all try to be careful! When they AREN'T drunk they are gorgeous birds with a fantastic personality and much easier than the other cockies. To be honest I think most Cockatoo's are a handful!
