Default Small cage for our cockatoo?

Ok, before anyone gets mad at me, let me explain.

We just adopted a gorgeous cockatoo and he's got his big cage for the house, but we're interested in a sturdy but inexpensive smaller cage for taking him out in the yard for some sunshine.

Any ideas on where we can find a small but sturdy and inexpensive cage for that?

Many of the cat carrier cages open at the top. Cat cages are usually less expensive than bird carrier cages, but barely different, if at all. And they are easy to buckle in the car with a seatbelt if you have to take your Cocky to the vet.
