Caique at play

My caique has recently started something new. She loves to stick her head between my hip and the mattress and dig in as far as she can get chirping all the time. She then sticks out a foot. When I put my finger in it she grabs and pulls on it chirping like crazy then gets into all out playing on her back. It's really cute. But what's with the "hiding"? Anyone experience something similar?

I wouldn't worry about it, they are little clowns and he's just having fun playing.

Vinnie (not a caique but I just wanted to chime in) has started playing on his back more and more. He'll roll over with a toy and just lie there. If he loses or drops the toy he'll try to retrieve it without getting up. I used to try rolling him over by tipping his sides, but I've learned, now that I taught him to "shake hands" I can get him to grab on to my finger, and then roll him over that way. What a little goofball.
