Re: Help
Both conures and quakers are naturally bitey birds. They don't do it when they are young but, once they reach sexual maturity and, later on, sexual frustration, they start. Nothing much you can do about it, either, it's their nature to be like that and, in most cases, it's not even aggression but what we call 'love bites'. They don't feel like any kind of love to us because they do hurt but they are not supposed to, it's not their fault we don't have a double layer of feathers protecting our skin from their beaks.
As to food, it's much more complicated than just giving you a link. In reality, all parrot owners should cook for them as seeds and pellets are real bad if free-fed (too much protein and oil which destroys their liver and kidneys). They need a lot of fresh veggies, fruits and leafy greens. You are in luck because both quakers and conures are very good eaters and excellent foragers but you will have to educate yourself as to what is good for them and what is not (crops that have a lot of chemicals in them -like apples, strawberries, cherries, etc- or stuff that is just plain not good -like anything with white flour, sugar, salt, caffeine, fried, animal products, etc). If you want, send me a personal message and I will direct to a site that has a lot of good advice on diet.
