Green Cheek Conure?

In exactly 7 days I will be starting my first year of high school
My parakeet died 3 days ago and I was already planning to give my guinea pig to my best friend. Well, aside from my sister's cat and the family dog, I have no pets. I was wondering if getting a green cheek conure would be a good idea. I know pretty much everything there is to know about them, so ignorance is not a factor in my decision. Thanks so much,

Green-cheeked Conures are common in captivity. They are playful, affectionate and intelligent, known as having a "big personality in a small body". The name Green-cheeked Conure is primarily used in aviculture, while the name Green-cheeked Parakeet is used elsewhere. It is primarily green, dark head, maroon tail and blue flight feathers.
