Default My newest perch

Hi everybody,
My name is Pearl and I wanted to show you the latest perch my daddy made, he really spoils me. My house is looking like a birds house now.

He is doing something with some more pieces of wood, Whew! I can't chew them up fast enough. Well one can never have enough toys, but I think we will need a bigger house soon.

I found a new use for a dead dogwood tree myself. Going to have to figure a base for it since Bobbie Q. (pictured) is quite fond of her perch, but I don't think she understands what "winter" is.

lol that is a very cute idea. As far as a base goes that is pretty easy if you have some basic woodworking tools. something like this is easy to make. You just predrill a hole and stick it on your base and throw a lag bolt or something to hold it in place. I can give more detailed instructions but they would depend on what sort of tools you have

what kind of wood would you use for one of these. im wondering because i would love to make a perch and attach it to big suctioncups for my table. right now october sits on the couch behind the laptop to look at his self in the reflective surface. right now hes chewing on the buttons. i keep having to say hay.
