Default African Grey Breeders

Hi there

I am new to the site, and also to parrots, although have had other birds my whole life.

Unfortunately I was recently scammed by a breeder who sold me an african grey and then didn't deliver it, or give me my money back. He had a professional site and kept in touch with me constantly for 3 weeks before the parrot was due to arrive so I had every confidence in him - to say the least I am devastated!

I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction to any reliable breeders so this won't happen again.

I would be very grateful.

Many thanks.

Michelle

Hi there

Yes this did happen online - the guy has a proper site and yes I have reported him to the police.

Does anyone know the site I can report him too?

Many thanks.

report them to the police so they cannot scam anyone else. I am sorry this happened to you and hopefully someone here knows of some reliable breeders. I do not or I would post some.

I am so sorry that happened to you. You might want to tell us what state you live in. I am buying my Tag from a breeder off BirdsNWay site and so far she seems ligit and I have also seen her before at a few birdfairs. I live close to Memphis , TN.

I also need help with buying a African Grey. I am very interested in this parrot but I am located in Europe. In my country Macedonia this type of a parrot is not available for sale. I read all your replys but the breeders are all from United States :-(.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Miichelle,
Your best bet is to look up any bird shows in your area or area that you are willing to travel to. You will find breeders there for the type of bird you are looking for. I just recently purchased a congo african grey that way. The person I purchased from attends a bird show in Joliet Il. Her shop is in Wisconson. But she was highly recommended & so I bought from her. I drove 2 hours one way to pick out my grey! Total of a 4 hour drive in one day! Done it again to pick him up! Very hapipy with my bird!!! Her amount was great to!!!

note:the new one pic on top!
