Breeding parrotlets?

deedeecmt:
hi..after reading one of the other posts on here on the breeding sec. i am almost scared to ask any thing..but i also know kimba as well as others are great and treat any question with respect..so..here goes..i have my pair of pacific parrotles i hae been trying to breed for about a year now..they both are 2 yrs old.i had given up and figured they would at least always have a mate..today i noticed the female is staying in the box..it is common for her to go in once in awhile for only a few min. but this time she is staying in..without my male..do you think i may be lucky and getting babies? or do they some times stay in there without laying eggs this long? yes she is fine..i was so shocked when i could not find her in the cage..she never goes in there alone..so i just knew she had gotten out some how..but she was in her box and seemed fine..i have checked sveral times and she is always in it..god i hope so..it is sort of sad to see rambo sitting all alone sleeping on their hut..if she does lay eggs..i learned something new to me..for about a week now i have been really worried because the male kept being so agressive with the female..shenna..at times..especially if she got near their breeding box..or if i even looked in it.he has never been agressive with her before..is this normal ? or should i worry..how long should i give her to stay in there before she starts to lay eggs..the reason i ask is i want to be sure he has not hurt her or something else is wrong with her..i will watch tomm to see if she comes out at all .their cage is in the same room with all my birds and where i stayall day untill they go to bed,it is my day time family room..it is pretty roudy in there at times especially when my macaw and c/a/g are out playing..should i leave them alone or move them to the quieter part of the house?..i can not wait to see if we get babies..and yes i know their first clutch can be bad..i have bred and raised parakeets and hand raised my macaw from 3 weeks old ..kimba if you read this..have you breed any parrotlets before?..thanks for any help..
