Hi there I am new to the site, and also to parrots, although have had other birds my whole life. Unfortunately I was recently scammed by a breeder who sold me an african grey and then didn't deliver it, or give me my money back. He had a professional site and kept in touch with me constantly for 3 weeks before the parrot was due to arrive so I had every confidence in him - to say the least I am devastated! I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction to any reliable...

Is it customary to immediately bring your bird to a vet as soon as you bring it home? This is my third parrot, and she's being shipped by a breeder, along with guarantee of health. But should I still bring her right to a vet to make sure? She's congo african grey.
